Refractory lining and thermal insulation are very closely related services, the performance of one having a significant impact upon the other. Over the years and due to this close association we have often become involved with refractory lining projects, our expertise in one field lending itself to the other.

Powertherm has for a number of years now, and as an addition to its insulation services, provided refractory lining services for our clients. The majority of these refractory works relate to installing linings to cremators and exhaust duct parts but in addition to this we are also able to provide internally clad insulation for boiler and diffuser ducts.

These are typically insulated with blanket / modular form ceramic fibre with a special stainless steel alloy finish. We can work to issued specifications or, should you wish, provide a complete design and installation package which caters for all heat expansion, thermal movement, and corrosion considerations.
